Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of RIMI e-store, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
The core shopping functionality of the RIMI e-store has been designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility requirements. This includes key user journeys such as browsing products, viewing product details, managing a customer account, selecting delivery slots, and completing purchases through checkout and payment.
Some secondary pages, such as promotional campaign pages or informational content pages, may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements due to legacy components. These areas are being gradually improved as part of ongoing platform development.
The following accessibility limitations may occur on these secondary pages (secondary pages refer to extra navigation options that lead to supporting or more detailed content, which sits outside the main pages but helps users explore the site more fully):
Some images may not include complete alternative text descriptions, which may make it harder for screen reader users to understand the content
Certain interactive elements may not be fully accessible using keyboard navigation, particularly in older page components or promotional sections
Keyboard focus indicators may not always be clearly visible on some interactive elements
Some dynamic content (such as sliders, banners, or expandable sections) may not always be properly announced by screen readers
Some links or buttons may not have sufficiently descriptive labels, which may make their purpose unclear for assistive technology users
Some text and interface elements may not fully meet recommended color contrast requirements
Assessment approach
RIMI assesses the accessibility of RIMI e-store through a combination of internal and external evaluation methods:
Internal evaluation conducted by the e-commerce development team
Independent external accessibility audit carried out in June 2024
Accessibility is also continuously reviewed and improved as part of ongoing development and redesign processes, with updates implemented across the website on a regular basis.
